The sequel to 'Dead Men Walking', encouraging men to discover what it means to be truly masculine.

Baz and Lee (authors of Dead Men Walking) once again provide an astonishingly frank, honest and bold account of what it means to be a man trying to follow the ways of Jesus in the 21st century.

How do men harness their passion and aggression, give everything in relationships and ultimately attract more 'real men' into a genuine relationship with God.

This book is for all men but especially for those who are fed up of wearing masks and are desperate for reality with God, each other and themselves.

Packed full of quotes, humour, information and true stories, it's raw, gritty and a breath of fresh air.

'This has to be one of the world's bravest books . . .'
from the Foreword by Pete Greig

Lee Jackson is a youth worker, DJ, communicator, and the co-author of Dead Men Walking. He lives with his family in West Yorkshire, England and loves basketball, gadgets and British comedy. He doesn't like curry, gardening or country music. :)

Baz Gascoyne lives in Sheffield, South Yorkshire with his wife Linda, where he co-leads the Eccles Church. He is committed to encouraging and supporting city initiatives which promote God's Kingdom. Baz hates religion with a passion but has a passion to see Jesus communicated and demonstrated in a real and relevant way that draws people in to finding God's love and freedom for themselves.

Reviewed by David Bain

Long in the tooth Cross Rhythms readers will remember Lee Jackson as one of the founders of UK hip-hop pioneers HOG. But clearly he's also a hugely gifted Christian teacher and with Baz Gascoyne has written a hugely important book. As a young Christian man I've often dipped into the few books (or usually a sub-section of some very general "Christian Life-style" type book) on how to be a Godly man. These have often left me feeling depressed at my current state and wondering how I could ever change. What Lee and Baz have cleverly done, in their down-to-earth attitude, is take almost all the issues related to being a guy and simply and openly discuss them. Topics include the responsibilities of being a father, Christian comedy, being a missionary and having a unique identity. These are sandwiched between powerful, personal stories and relevant quotes from a wide variety of sources. Additional contributions come from friends and family making the book read like a well-balanced chat at the local, with the odd laugh thrown in for good measure. The tone is light, but the content hard-hitting. Following on from the acclaimed Dead Man Walking Baz and Lee are authors that the global Christian community have begun to recognise and respect for their no-nonsense approach to living for God. This is truly the best book I have ever read on how to sort your life out as a man. I'm recommending it already to all my mates, and that includes women too! An absolute must.
