Stamped with Cross Movement's trusted seal of approval, JR offers an album which flows from the praises of a clearly grateful heart. The ultimate message of God's love, encompassing both joy and judgment, is in no way hidden or disguised, but in true Cross Movement fashion, it is instead presented with no apologies whatsoever. Warning - heavy tracks such as "Danger" and "Temptation" make it clear that ministry is the approach on this project. However, not all songs sound as if they are directed from the pulpit. In fact, tracks such as "Amazing" and "Smile" exhibit the intimate outpourings of a servant's heart towards his loving master. JR shows real vocal and stylistic dexterity, shaping his delivery around a wide array of beats. There are club-bangers as well as songs suited to personal reflection, both of which are held to a reasonably high level of production quality. Tracks often mimic the chart-topping styles of Pharrel Williams and Usher, with undeniably smooth vocals. This release is yet another quality product from Cross Movement Records, and not only that, but it is the songs of a child of God using his talents to build the Kingdom. And although perhaps not CMR's most standout release to date, this is nonetheless a strong offering.
