To describe Audio Adrenaline's brand of music as diverse would be a big understatement. They have managed to provide a fusion of funk, rock and dance music, with both melodic and rap vocals. Perhaps some people would say that this kind of combination just wouldn't work. However, the group have produced this exact sound with brilliance. Songs range from "Audio World", which is almost a ballad and the only track without a rap content; to "J.E.S.U.S. Is Right", a track with good dance elements. However, I felt two songs really let down the rest of the album. Incidentally, I did note that these songs, "My God" and "DC-10", were produced by the band themselves and not Vector's Steve Griffin, who did the rest. Although the rap lyrics are brilliantly direct: "My God died on the cross" from "My God"; and "Do you know where you're gonna go?" from "DC-10", for much of the time you would have to read the tape inset to know what they were shouting? Yet, all is not lost. Essentially, I enjoyed this album, my favourite track being "Who Do You Love". It was a gentle and simple rap track with such immortal lines as "Lovey dovey, turtle dovey/Everybody's looking for that warm fuzzy". Eat your heart out Bob Dylan.
