Fresh worship from the Spring Harvest youth track, featuring such vocalists as Andy Flanagan, Cathy Burton and Nick Herbert.

Reviewed by Jeremy Williams

I-Scape is Spring Harvest's programme for late teens, students and early 20s. This album, produced by the always reliable Paul Burton and using an impressive selection of British singers and worship leaders including Rex Allchurch, Cathy Burton, Andy Flannagan, Nick Herbert and Simon Parkin, was recorded and mixed at Burton's G2 studios in Littlehampton. "Blameless" sounded at first like a Phil Collins song, but the feeling passed and it's actually a beautiful song of faith in God's sanctifying promises. Elsewhere there's the slow build of "Amazing", Andy Flanagan's thought provoking "forgive us Lord, for what we've done, and what we've left undone" on "Hear Our Song", and new life is breathed into Graham Kendrick's "To You O Lord". Actually 'No One Like You' has set a high standard for itself. The only possible exception is the title track, which goes "You're so beautiful, you never change, every worship cliché, just rearranged." Actually it doesn't, but it could. Almost every line sounds like it's from another song, and it's about as original as, well, putting 'i-' in front of your name. But I'm being mean. This is a great set of positive and life affirming songs from a very talented collective. Stick this on your iPod and go to work with a spring in your step.
