When lead singers of well known bands get to record solo albums the effect is often dissipated, the musical chemistry that made THAT voice and THOSE musos so appealing missing when the singer moves to new musical pastures. That is not the case with this set. Lou Fellingham has produced an album up there with the finest things Phatfish have ever released while the strength of songwriting and the intuitive togetherness of the accompaniments are perfect to show off the delicate wistfulness of Louise's appealing voice. The three opening cuts "O God Of Love", "Hard Pressed" and "Amazing Love" all sound like they'd be winners on pop radio as well as songs that would make our hearts soar in worship gatherings. Another heartening example to demonstrate that some of the best worship leaders in today's church are ladies.

I only heard this album in the background at an Alpha course
last night, and have bought it today because it sounded that
good. I am so impressed with her use of solid scriptural
words and themes in her songs - it's great faith building
and worship inspiring, as well as being great musically!
I first heard Lou singing some of her songs from her solo
album at Spring Harvest in Minehead (Easter 2006) She has a
great voice and the lyrics are spot on - I find myself
singing the songs all day.

I heard phatfish on 3 march 2007 at Alpha course. We were
lucky because the band performed live with Lou as the
vocalist. And what a tremendous powerful voice, very moving.
I have written about 15 lyrics over the last year and some
of them are gospel, I might just see if Lou will put a voice
to them and bring them alive?
