Bill & Gloria Gaither and Their Homecoming Friends - What A Time!

If this album is anything to go by, the Homecoming Friends' "in-concert" scene is truly alive and swinging today. The gospel gathering sounds off in style slipping up and down quality Christian songs to be relished, many honourable of a well earned and long overdue renaissance. The Gaithers' zestful, informal concerts on your CD player storm the taste buds. This compilation of simple poetic gems from the pens of Dallas Holm, Stuart Hamblen, The Goodmans and Jimmie Davis improvise a route through songs like "How Big Is God" and "Great Is Thy Faithfulness" and "How Great Thou Art". All the tracks have been recorded live on the video and feature strong musicians adding their unique brand of coolness to the songs. It has to be said that half of the songs are newish so will be unfamiliar to most. But I must warmly draw your attention to this live session.
