Vicki's sweet tones on "I Simply Love You" introduce this CD with its acoustic, jazz-tinged accompaniment. After that it's downhill all the way. This deceptively promising introduction gives way to some of the worst CCM I've heard in awhile. If I was diplomatic I would say that this had a 1980s retro feel to it. Alternatively I could say that the production is embarrassingly overblown and that by belting it out diva-fashion Vicki's cliché collection is much enhanced. Vicki seems to be doing quite well for herself, guesting for various USA preachers and now gaining a reputation in gospel circles where she's perceived as another Munizzi-like blue eyed diva. But despite all that this is still a weak and dated album.
