A veteran of traditional Irish gigs, singer/songwriter Raymond, who is also involved in media and TV production, has fashioned here a mix of jigs, reels and Celtic ballad protest songs, so he says. There's even a trio of Jewish/Israeli styled worship songs. McCullough has a very nasal, reedy "folk" voice which is a bit of an acquired taste, but once past that this collection is lively and really quite enjoyable. Fans of traditional Irish music should love this stuff and despite the fact that the production and playing is quite rustic in places, it's not without its undeniable charm.
