This is the fifth album from the Austin, Texas-based eight piece, who have found a CCM niche combining Latin rhythms with contemporary pop sounds. They claim that this record has finally captured their sound and on the evidence of this recording, that success has been worthwhile. Whilst their website hails them as a worship band, one should hesitate to view them in a traditional worship context. This is an album full of spiritual songs that do indeed ooze worship but also provide a Christian perspective to life's ups and downs. If you are not familiar with their style, it may take you a while to really appreciate what they do but your perseverance will be rewarded. From the moving ballad "This Is My Life" to the crunching guitar-driven "For More Than Ourselves" there is great variety to behold. This is excellent, well-crafted songwriting with accomplished musicianship backed up with a real heart for Jesus. Latin pop has seldom been executed better.
