With such a variety of children's worship discs now on offer it's not easy for parents to know which to go for. This collection was brought into being by Ishmael and contains 12 brand new, simple songs, composed by as many, comparatively unknown writers. Ishmael brought in veteran worship man Noel Richards to lead the songs, accompanied by a team of energetic and vocally-able kids. There's a fair variety of musical styles - the most notable being the '60s rock'n'roll format of "Best Friend". Ironically, Ishmael's own contribution, "The NT Song", which seeks to aid in memorising all the long-titled books of the New Testament, comes over as the most irritating. The intimate simplicity of "Jesus I Love You" is much more appealing. Overall, it's a lively and interesting collection and to make it a complete package, the top line piano and guitar chords are included on CD-Rom, while backing tracks to each song appear on the CD itself.
