As she's been singing since she was four, it's probably a bit much to expect one album to give a full picture of Vanessa's career (a box set, maybe); however, this 14-track retrospective does a good job of cover­ing the 11 years she's spent so far with Verity Records. It features her 1997 hits "Pressing On" and "You Bring Out The Best In Me"; her cover of Labi Siffre's "Something Inside So Strong"; two medleys and a cou­ple of live tracks from the 1998 'Desire Of My Heart' set. If you're a fan, you probably have all the tracks included here already; if not, what better way to get introduced?
