It says something for the profile of the British worship scene that four of the six worship leaders featured on this international release are from the UK (Tim Hughes, Brenton Brown, Kathryn Scott and Matt Redman); the other two being Canada's Andy Park and Brian Doerksen, while a US worship leader, Dan Wilt, hosts the programme, contributing loads of additional tips. Around 45 mins long, the teaching here is highly practical; though even as a non-worship leader (but a decided worshipper!), I found it all quite fascinating (and now I know what Brenton Brown looks like!). Some of this stuff will already be familiar to those who've read books or articles on the topic, but it IS helpful to hear it straight from some experts' mouths. Doerksen contributes more than most - insightful stuff too - and although Mr Redman makes but a tiny appearance, his minute's worth is a gem, suggesting that while excellence in worship is biblical (Psalm 33), the Psalms speak FAR more about purity of heart, and this must be every worshipper's priority. All in all, a most valuable tool, which so blessed the worship leader in our local church that he purchased a copy and arranged for it to be prayerfully viewed by the entire worship team. Recommend viewing for every church that genuinely seeks closeness to God in its worship.
